Thank you so much for commenting! Yes, it IS very overwhelming and we need these bright spots to keep us going. I do this just as much for myself as for everyone else. Thank you for reading!

Thank you again so much! We visited the desert this weekend, and saw the Milky Way. Damn, the bill just passed and I feel sick to my stomach. I fear for everyone around me, and myself. The little bit of brightness and hope, not sure where to find it now.

So, two bits of good news are that it looks like the restrictions on state regulations for AI didn't make it into the final bill, and neither did the restrictions on the green energy credits. (I do need to dig into that last one a more to see just what that language encompassed and if it was removed in its entirety or just modified.) Also... the budget bill *barely* passed the House last time, and that was *before* the Senate made the Medicaid cuts and deficit spending even worse. Representatives on both ends of the spectrum are deeply unhappy with this bill right now. So keep your hopes up... and keep calling your representatives! Public pressure is important. Consider making one call to your representatives today to tell them to vote no and then turn off the news and read a book or do something creative. Our nervous systems literally can't panic when we're actually making something, and keeping a clear mind is important. Hang in there! <3
